As you open the box you will find two containers of our organic solution, one stainless steel housing with a base attached, and a solar powered top.
After unwrapping the plastic wrapping, place the housing with attached bottom base on a flat surface for assembly.
The next step is setting up the organic solution containers. There are two containers for your convenience. Each one should last three to four months before replacement. Store the extra one in a cool dark place like inside your kitchen cabinet.
With one hand on the jar remove the protective plastic snap on cover from the top with your other hand. It’s a tight fit so just pull hard, you can’t hurt it. Once the protective plastic cover is removed, pull upward on the pull-up cap to open it. Again it’s a tight fit but you can’t hurt it, just pull up till it opens.
With one hand on the housing and looking down inside, place the open top container in the center of the bottom housing. There is a recess in the center to hold the container in the center.
With the solar powered top in one hand, turn it to view the bottom. There is a switch in the off position which needs to be turned to the "on" position. There is also a small plastic tab at the end of one of the two batteries, which needs to be pulled out. At this point you should see the solar light come on if you cover the small light sensor with your hand and the switch is "on".
Once the container is inside the housing, place the solar top onto the housing. It just sits there and is heavy enough not to blow off in the wind. A ridge on the bottom of the top fits inside the housing, loosely for your convenience.
As a last step, place your hand over the solar top, and see if the light comes on and bounces off the top of the white caps. This means the lamp is ready to go outside to start doing it's job.
See our web site for details on product placement. The female mosquito lives about 4 weeks, so you should notice a significant difference in activity by the end of the fourth week. Remember one female can lay 300-400 eggs every other day during her life so killing one stops thousands next month. They have almost no natural predators except the Mosquito Genie™.

Does a great job. Very impressive.
