West Nile Virus

You can't pick up a newspaper, turn on the radio or watch television news today without hearing about the rapid spread of West Nile Virus. We all know by now that it is marching across the US at an alarming pace, leaving it its wake thousands affected and hundreds dead.

In a recent National Pest Management Association survey, Americans said they are now more concerned about mosquitoes than termites, ants and roaches. Respondents held that they were more concerned about West Nile Virus than Lyme disease or E-coli.

Mosquitoes are estimated to transmit disease to more than 700 million people annually in Africa, South America, Central America, Mexico and much of Asia resulting in millions of deaths.
